Point of Sale illustration showing the core capabilities CloudIP provides for small business POS.

POS used to be three different products: a retail register, a restaurant terminal, and an appointment kiosk. CloudIP POS is one product with three checkout modes and one inventory. The same item that sells across the counter sells online and pulls from the same stock.

Hardware is part of the deal. Terminals, cash drawers, receipt printers, kitchen displays, and card readers all live in the Hardware Store, pre-paired with the software so the install is a power cable and a sign-in.

FAQ

Common questions

Specific answers about Point of Sale — not marketing fluff.

Yes. Sales, returns, and tips queue locally during network outages and post when the connection returns. Card-present transactions follow card-network rules during offline mode.

Resilience

The register keeps ringing when the network does not

A point of sale that fails when the internet hiccups is not a point of sale. CloudIP POS runs offline first and reconciles on its own.

Offline-first transactions

Sales, refunds, and tabs are written locally and queued. When connectivity returns, they sync without operator action.

Conflict resolution rules

Inventory and pricing changes that arrive while a station was offline are merged using deterministic rules so the books always balance.

Hardware-backed receipts

Receipts and tax records are committed to the printer and the customer-display log even when the cloud is unreachable.

Per-station feature flags

A misbehaving feature can be disabled on one station without affecting the rest of the location or the chain.
