Privacy Policy
How CloudIP collects, uses, and protects information you share with us.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how CloudIP LLC ("CloudIP") handles personal information that we collect, store, or process when you visit cloudip.com, sign up for an account, or use the CloudIP platform.
It applies to information you provide directly, information your administrators provide on your behalf, and information generated by your use of the platform.
Information we collect
Account information: name, email, password (stored hashed), and organization details.
Billing information: handled by our payment processor; we store last four digits of payment instruments and billing addresses for tax purposes.
Customer content: data you upload to the platform, including backups, accounting records, customer records, and communications. We treat this as confidential.
Operational telemetry: pages viewed, feature usage, error reports, and similar data used to operate and improve the service.
Why we collect it
To operate the platform you signed up for, to bill you accurately, to keep your data secure, and to support you when you contact us.
We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not share your customer content with third parties except as necessary to operate the platform (for example, payment processing, transactional email delivery, or shipping rate lookups).
How long we retain it
Customer content is retained for the lifetime of your account and according to retention rules you configure within the platform.
After account closure, customer content is purged within 30 days unless legal obligation requires longer retention.
Operational telemetry is retained for up to 24 months in identifiable form, then aggregated.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting privacy@cloudip.com.
Where applicable law gives you specific data-protection rights (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), we honor those rights consistent with the law.
Security
We protect customer data with encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, and the controls described on our security page.
No security control is perfect. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
